Senegalese startup SYRATE took part in SALTIS 2025, one of the major events dedicated to artificial intelligence, technology and innovation in Africa, held in Dakar. Each year, SALTIS brings together researchers, entrepreneurs, institutions and investors around the questions of digital and African technological sovereignty.

This edition took place November 24–25, 2025 at the Museum of Black Civilizations, where ecosystem actors discussed AI’s role in the continent’s economic and social development.

SYRATE presented its vision of AI applied to intelligent security and real-time video analysis — a platform that transforms existing cameras into intelligent systems able to detect, understand and act automatically on events. SYRATE’s solutions enable intrusion detection, detection of PPE non-compliance in industrial settings, intelligent surveillance of infrastructure and public spaces, and improved security in cities and at major events.

SYRATE’s presence at SALTIS strengthened its exchanges with public actors, technology companies and investors present at the event — a strategic platform for promoting African innovations and accelerating a sovereign, sustainable digital ecosystem on the continent.

SYRATE’s ambition is to develop AI technologies designed in Africa and adapted to African realities, positioning itself as an emerging player in AI applied to security and intelligent infrastructure management. The company continues to pursue deployment across cities, industries, infrastructure and major events in Africa, to help build a safer, smarter and technologically sovereign continent.
